What Bolts keeps, what it's for, and how to get rid of it. Updated 17 September 2026.

Who we are

Bolts is made by Corkscrew Technologies Ltd. For anything on this page, email privacy@bolts.sk.

What we keep

Your account
The ID Apple gives us when you sign in, and the name Apple sends the first time. No email address, and no password.
What you tell us
Your stance, your handle if you pick one, and whether your skating is public.
Your clips
The video you send, sound included, and what Bolts measured in it: the trick, whether you rode away, the timings and angles. Any corrections you make.
Sessions and spots
When you skated, and the spot, if you put a session there. A spot's location is rounded to about a hundred metres before it leaves your phone. Nothing you film carries a location.
Notifications
If you allow them, the address Apple gives your phone for notifications, so we can tell you a go has been read. Signing out removes it.
Crews and shares
The crews you're in, and any links you've made to share a go.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Crash reports stay on your phone.

What it's for

Measuring your tricks and showing you the results. That's it. We don't sell any of it and we don't share it with anyone except the companies below that run the service.

Learning from your clips

Off unless you turn it on, in Settings, with Let Bolts learn from your clips. With it on, clips you send can be used to make Bolts better at reading tricks. Your clips are measured either way.

We keep a record of when you turned it on or off and the wording you saw, and each clip remembers which applied when you sent it. Turning it off covers clips you send after that.

A model that has already learned from a clip can't unlearn it. If you delete a clip you let us learn from and want it out of the training data too, email us and we'll take it out of future training.

Who runs it

Clips and results are processed on Modal, stored with Cloudflare R2, and the database is on Neon. Sign in is Sign in with Apple, and notifications go through Apple. This site is hosted by Cloudflare. Some of these are outside the UK, and each of them only processes data on our behalf.

Deleting

A go: open it in Sessions and tap Delete this go. The clip and everything measured from it are deleted from our servers.

Everything: Settings, then Delete your account. Your clips, results, corrections, sessions and account are deleted. The one thing kept is the record of what you agreed to about learning from clips, with your name taken off it, because that's how we show clips were used fairly.

On your phone: deleting the app removes what it stored there.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing privacy@bolts.sk. If you're in the UK and unhappy with how we've handled it, you can complain to the ICO.

Under 13s

Bolts isn't for children under 13, and we don't knowingly keep their data.
